I've switched to a 3rd wound string a few weeks back because i've had problems with tone and tuning stability especially, considering im running 11-54s in B standard, so they are quite loose. I frankly don't think i'll be switching back. I love the feel of looser strings. Less pain, better vibrato, easier bending, but the 3rd string just constantly went out of tune and had a horrbile ringing noise to it
